Anesthesiology
- Work Dates Needed: ASAP - Ongoing
- Preferred Schedule: Rotating with 30-minute lunch; 7:00a-5:30p or 10:30a-9:00p
- Specific Dates/Shifts Needing Priority Coverage: Monday through Friday
**Scope of Work:**
- Worksite Setting: Inpatient; ASC
- Trauma Level: Not designated, close to Level II or III
- Duties: Administer anesthesia, endotracheal tubes, respirators, arterial central and peripheral venous lines, monitors, maintains and interprets data and waveforms, monitors vital signs
- Case Mix: General Surgery, Spine, Thoracic, Robotic, Neuro, ENDO, Ortho, Vascular, OB; No PEDS
- ORs: 12 main ORs; 5 surgery centers, 4 GI
- EMR: Epic
- MD to CRNA Coverage Ratio: 1:3 or 1:4
- Case Limitations for CRNAs: Based on competency for spinal, epidural, and occasional regional blocks. No hearts. Endo, Ortho, Vascular, OB, Neuro, General Surgery, Spine, Cardiac (excluding transplant); designated cardiac team on staff. Level 3 trauma cases.
- Rotation/Coverage Between Main OR and Surgery Centers: Based on assignment; surgery centers handle sports medicine, gyn, urology, and eyes.
- Care Team Approach
**Requirements:**
- License: CT state license
- Certifications: Board Certified (BC), ACLS, BLS
- Privileging Process: 45-60 days
- Travel/Housing Notes: Local providers highly preferred
