Premium Pay CRNA Locum Need in KY!

Job description

Specialty: CRNA
Start Date: Mid-September, more likely Mid-October
Contract Length: 6 months (26 weeks)
Shift Details:
• 4 x 10-hour shifts
• No weekends, no call
• Schedule: Monday – Thursday or Tuesday – Friday
• Full-Time: 06:30 AM – 05:30 PM (includes a 1/2-hour lunch)

Work Details:
• Support Staff: CRNA, Anesthesia Tech, Anesthesiologists
o Directed by Anesthesiologist (general ratio 1:2 anesthesiologists to 1 CRNA and 1 resident; can be up to 1:4 anesthesiologists to CRNA for low acuity)
• Coverage Needed: Full time, 4 x 10-hour shifts per week for 6 months
• Patients per Day: 1-9 patients daily
• Patient Population/Age: All age spans (excluding Neonatal); critically ill or "super sick" patients; many transfer patients from other hospitals
• Department Description:

o CRNA will cover the S.T.A.R. Unit (Surgical Triage Assessment and Recovery, go-live date: 07/08/2024), CVICU, Acute Pain, Ortho, Trauma, Vascular, and Neuro

o No Heart or OBGYN cases
• EMR: EPIC preferred

Special Procedures:
• Skills Required: Intubation, Central Line, Arterial Line, Line Placement
o Blocks are not likely needed
o CRNA must stay in the room with any patient that is asleep; CRNA cannot leave a patient unattended

Practice Setting:
• Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center)

Requirements:
• Board Certification: NBCRNA
• State License: Required; State of KY – open to licensing
• Minimum Experience: Some experience required (6 months to 1 year); no new graduates
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
